【Arm Amulets】
One of the personal ornaments used in the Edo period was an "arm amulet", which was attached to the upper arm. A cloth made of velvet was looped around the upper arm and tied by a metal stopper. Both women and men used them, and they often put a personal amulet and fragrance inside.
